1938 Buick Special Model 40-body by Fisher, straight
eight motor, 3 speed manual, wide whites, suicide rear
doors, 5 passenger, restored in 1979, & $4000 just
spent out of storage, runs like new. stored since 1990.
great chrome, 248 engine.
This is part of a trade deal, & the car was fully restored in 1979 & stored since 1990 indoors year round on jacks. in 79, it had 10 coats of black lacquer paint & 5 coats of clear. over 33 years & the paint is showing a bit of wear now, but not from 5 feet away. the Coker wide white tires have less than 500 miles on them, & interior taupe tan cloth looks like new, & same with headliner, 4 doors, & 5 passenger, with suicide rear doors, roll up windows, & working side vent windows, never in rain, & weight is around 3500 pounds, 122" wheelbase, & was told its a 3 owner car-not bad for 74 years old!!! the chrome is great & the engine compartment looks like new. $4,000 was just spent on the car, after taking it out of storage, including, boil out & seal gas tank, rebuild carb, rebuild starter, & new solanoid, it has been rewired, new voltage regulator, new brakes & clutch, new light bulbs & some engine gaskets. a great old original antique car, that can be driven to shows, parades, etc, with no problems at all. return to Bob's Classics, Inc. or What's In Stock.
