1936 Packard "Phantom" Boattail custom. more than just
rare-its the only one in the world. hand built in the late
1980's on a 1981 Chevy Corvette, using metal &
fiberglass,* has many Packard parts, since the builder was
a Packard builder. was on display in a museum for many
years. 350 V8, auto, air, tilt, real wire rims, etc.
here is a one of a kind custom hand built 1936 Packard "Phantom" boattail convertible, made using a 1981 Chevy Corvette,& used many original Packard parts,& metal was used with fiberglass & the metal was from pre WWII Packard sheet metal, made in the late 1980's I am told, & sat on display for many years in a museum. the builder was a master Packard builder & was built for a wealthy person in California, has a small boattail, & the full rear end tilts back for easy access to the hidden folding convertible top, & has 4 real chrome wire wheels, & one side spare for show only, nice bright red paint job,that looks orange in some photos. black top, tinted windows, small block 350 Chevy Corvette V8 with automatic transmission, air conditioning & heater, 4 wheel power disc brakes, power steering, posi rear end,tilt & telescopic column, & custom steering wheel,with cloth interior that stays cool in summer & warm in winter. this is the only one in the world-so its more than just rare !! I was told that the engine etc was rebuilt in the late 1980's when the car was redesigned. titled as a 1981 Chevrolet, & is now 35 years old, & is showing around 2600 miles per year. a true showpiece that turns heads everywhere,& gets the thumbs up.
