1935 Auburn Boattail Speedster, 1981 Auburn title, I
was told it was built by California Custom Coach, &
powered by a rare 351 Ford Cleveland V8 with automatic
transmission, Power brakes & steering, suicide doors,
CD player, 17 1/2' long, golf bag door, black top, red
interior with white piping wide white tires, & real
wire wheels painted dark red, sounds great & runs
great also. just under 30,000 miles showing in 37 years,
supercharger pipes, 2 spot lights, etc. rare
Finally we have another 1935 Auburn Boattail Speedster replica. It has been a long time since we have had one. I was told it was built by California Custom Coach builders, in Caliifornia, in 1981, & titled as a 1981 Auburn. Has the famous rear end that's massive & looks like a boat-upside down.originals are getting way up in price & hard to keep running, & these are massive cars at 3500 pounds, a bit over 17 1/2' long, 128" wheelbase, 79" wide & around 57" high, thick suicide doors, golf bag door, 2 large chrome spotlights, dual side cowl lamps, wide white tires with 4 real wire wheels, painted a rich dark red, side supercharger pipes, nice white paint with red interior & white piping, 3 rear view mirrors, wipers, black top, custom wood steering wheel,wood dash, supercharged emblems, flying lady hood ornament, stainless kick plates, & chrome stone guards, & powered by a rare peppy 5.7 liter 351 Ford Cleveland V8 engine with automatic transmission,power brakes & power steering, front disc brakes, dual exhaust, dual chrome air cleaners,2 piece hood, side vents for cooling, & has a great sound, & runs & drives great. AM/FM/stereo with CD player, & super nice sound, just had carb.rebuilt tuned up & just wet sanded & buffed, so it looks stunning. 37 years old now. just under 30,000 miles showing.
