This car was specially built for Sal D'Amico of Edison, NJ in 1982.Sal was the East Coast rep for Blakely Auto Works, Princeton, Wisconsin. Its powered by a high output competition engine, 2000 cc Ford 4 cylinder,  thats plenty peppy enough & still gets great gas mileage, 4 speed tranny, & driven daily since 1997, here in Florida. This is one of the strongest replica/kit cars ever built, with 2 layers of fiberglass with foam sandwiched in between.You can literally jump on the fenders & running boards, without damage, like on the cheaper made bodies. Has a hand built 8 gauge jig-welded frame, full flip up front end with fully finished engine compartement-shows well, very plush inside with a Momo wood steering wheel, & nice stereo w/cassette, rear luggage rack, tan convertible top with plug in plexiglass side windows, that swing open with doors & have sliding windows, tan top boot as well, large trunk, sunvisors, pinstripes, real chrome wire wheels, tilt Recaro type seats w/headrests, tinted glass, wind deflectors, 3 rear view mirrors, 1800 pounds, 145" long, 49"high, 68"wide, with a 94" wheelbase, & 7.0 cu foot trunk, 30-40 MPG ,3 wipers, front disc brakes, rack & pinion steering, carpets, even in trunk, lots of headroom for taller folks, nice ride & handles great, & has some custom mahogany interior trim. was well over $30,000. new. a handbuilt factory built auto with MGTD & Morgan styling.
