1980 Excalibur Series IV Phaeton-2 tone
This is a real Mccoy !! Not a kit car, by any means. Has styling of the million dollar + 1936 Mercedes 540k, only this car is affordable & very driveable. Nice solid & very heavy cars, at 4400 pounds-empty. This is the 4 seater model with the power soft top only -no hard top- which usually ends up damaged in a corner of the garage anyways. & has a creamy tan body with dark -rum rich chocolate fenders- a bit lighter than in some photos,rich tan leather interior,& tan soft top with a nice padded tan parade top boot-cover, 6 real chrome wire wheels, rear locking trunk, 2 piece aluminum hood & sides, dual side mounted spares w/covers, power brakes,steering, windows, locks, seats, antenna & top, 4 wheel Corvette disc brakes, Corvette Hydra-matic 400 automatic transmission, tilt leather steering wheel, telescopic, ice cold air conditioning & heater, 305 cubic inch Chevy V8 engine, Posi rear end, from Corvette, 30 gallon nylon fuel tank, Rochester Quadra jet carb, complete stainless exhaust w/3 way catalyst,independant rear suspension, 4 trumpet horns, side supercharger pipes -for show only, twin side cowl lamp wood dash panels & door inserts, battery disconnect switch, teak on running boards, solid cast aluminum bumpers with shock absorbers installed -very safe cars indeed, well over 17 feet long-207", 125" wheelbase, 75" wide, & 59" high, with 7" clearance from the ground & 40 foot turning circle- so you can plainly see that this is not some tiny car, & has pinstripes, tinted window glass, am/fm/stereo w/cassette, 2 piece front windshield, cruise control, & 8 dash gauges, owners manual, tilt seats, etc. This was the first year of the major body styling change from 1979.
