I beleive this is our first T- Bird replica from Camelot. They are a higher quality 1957 T-bird, compared to most others we have had to date. I was told that they were factory built turnkey models, & quite close to the originals. was built in 1982 & titled as a 1982 Camelot, so it most likely was factory built. Powered by a peppy 5.0 liter V8 Ford 302 cubic inch engine, automatic transmission, tilt steering wheel, power brakes & power steering, AIR CONDITIONING & heater, red fiberglass body with red interior, & removeable white porthole hard top only, glass roll up side windows-not plexiglass like most, & actual working-opening-side vent windows, & a rear continental spare tire kit, chrome windshield frame, am/fm stereo w/cassette, T-Bird emblems, & nice T-bird styled hub caps. We dont get many of these cars anymore, & have to pay more & more every year, to find quality built models. This car is now 21 years old, but looks & drives great. Its not a $42,000. Regal T-Bird, but the next best thing. All Ford running gear, so its cheap to maintain-unlike the 48 year old rust bucket originals with the poor metal bodies. Dont get me wrong-I still love the originals as well-but not to drive any distance at all-only for car shows & parades. These cars are made especially for daily driving, & will never rust. most folks will never even think its a fiberglass replica-only the purists of course. the paint has some flaws,& priced accordingly. But these classic replicas keep on going up in price, as the originals go up.
