This car is from Classic Roadsters in Fargo, North Dakota & the package was sold in 1987, so its titled as a 1987 Roadster. It was pro built & completed in 1992, by the Specialty Autoworks, Inc., in Knoxville, TN. These are one of the best MGTD replicas ever built-period, & cost around $25,000. to built. Close to $3000. was spent on the car in 2001 to have a custom built air conditioning system installed, with bigger radiator, etc., & very expensive Jensen am/fm/stereo with CD player & all manuals. Has been driven daily, to work, by a local Sarasota woman, powered by a Chevy Chevette 4 cylinder engine with a 4 speed manual transmission, that is very dependable & has a nice heavy duty frame- weight is 1900 pounds, & has side wind deflectors, amber fog lamps, badges, wood dash & steering wheel, classic styled gauges, dark burgundy red interior, black nylon top & side curtains, very water- tight, MG styled rims, badge bar, 3 rear view mirrors, rear mounted spare tire, motor was rebuilt in 1992-so I was told by the 1st owner. 2 owner car !! rare 2 tone grey body w/black fenders- looks very rich for sure.
