I bought this cart brand new,from a local Chrysler dealer. Daimler Chrysler Gem 2002 NEV [neihborhood electric vehicle] one of the very first 2002 model out & many improvements over the 2001 models. These are street legal cars for use on roads with speed limits up to 35mph. They also have a turf gear, made for golf course use only. This cart will do 25 to 27 mph, for a long time & then just plugs into regular 110volt household outlets. Has a built in charger with fan & auto shut off, when fully charged. Dash has lights that go yellow red, then green when charged. Has a much larger engine for 2002, easier full tilt front end-no screws to turn, new optional metallic high gloss silver paint, thats gorgeous-much nicer than photos show & shines like a mirror. Adjustable front seats, larger compartment up front for glovebox area, 4 drink holders & large area for sunglasses, balls, books, etc etc. 4 grab bars for cowboy drivers like myself !! Optional side scuff guards to protect the white frame, optional accessory plug for drink cooler, electric fans, or radar detector- ya right- and this is the very first one out of Fargo North Dakota, with the very expensive overhead consol which includes an Alpine am/fm stereo with CD player & 2 speakers. 4 seat belts, tinted sun roof & tinted safety glass windshield, rear storage compartment that locks up your ice & beer, or groceries & clothes, even kids-oops, sorry-not the kids please. Has the newer 12" two ply street rated tires, 6-12 volt deep cycle batteries-total 72 volts, front wheel drive direct, 72 volt shunt GE motor, 126.5"long, 69.75"high, 55" wide, 101"wheelbase & weight is 1280 pounds & can carry 820 pounds, or 4 adults of 205 pounds each. Halogen front headlights, turn signals, horn, rear lights, & 3rd upper brake light, 3 rear view mirrors, center gauge has a speedometer, odometer, battery % of power left-indicator, & error code indicator. Aluminum frame, brake warning light, 4 wheel brakes, parking brake, master disconnect safety switch under rear seat. This is my 4th Gem cart in 4 years & this one tops them all-by far.
